Community Learning Centers (CLCs) provide after-school care, educational enrichment, and neighborhood services in a partnership among the school district, non-profits, and the City. Of Lincoln’s 25 CLC sites, six are managed by the Parks and Recreation Department. Because federal grants supporting CLCs are going away, the City needs about $500,000 per year to continue these six sites and other school-age programs managed by the Parks and Recreation Department.
